Our main goal in the Assessment Department is to provide our students with positive testing experiences in which they can demonstrate their depth of knowledge and subsequent progression of skills as they move successfully through our school system.

  • Comply with annual state testing requirements (CAASPP) and achieve participation rates of 95% or greater overall and for each specific student group
  • Communicate with Education Specialists, students, and parents to aid in understanding state and local assessments and reports
  • Keep abreast of changes to State accountability requirements
  • Coordinate local assessments and  analyze and share results with stakeholders
  • Analyze assessment data and serve on Data Team to promote increased student achievement through data-driven instruction
  • Coordinate CAASPP Test Sites and ES Schedule annually
  • Work with Special Ed Department in identifying and streamlining student CAASPP needs
  • Oversee and coordinate ELPAC Summative and Annual Assessments
  • Provide staff and parent training regarding understanding, interpreting and using assessment results to successfully drive instructional decisions
